13/52 – Saturday, March 28, bright and early. She is up and dressed, her chores already done and packing her penguin suitcase and American Girl doll for a sleep over birthday party that doesn’t start for hours. I remember the excitement of those as a young girl, and know that even though she will be an overtired bear for her own friends’ birthday party tomorrow, tonight she will have an evening of giggles, secrets and fun with girlfriends. I’m envious for those days.
