35/53 – I have such strong, mixed emotions when I see this picture.  You are concentrating hard trying to make a painted mug perfect. I have a sense of pride watching you, for art projects generally do not appeal to you and your tendency is to rush through them. But the pride is mixed with poignancy, because the mug is for your grandpa who has insisted that he wants and needs nothing for his birthday this year. We will celebrate him and 76 years this weekend. And we will pray and hope that chemotherapy will grant us another celebration next year.
