20160924-tdb_2372shweb5x6 39/53 – Fall is upon us.  Despite blazing hot weather in Toronto this week, the morning air on Chandos Lake is crisp and the leaves have taken on a golden hue. When we are next up they will be blazing red and orange.

This time of year always makes me a bit melancholy.  I hate watching a beautiful summer end, and knowing that the cold of winter follows.  But still, there is something magical about the changing of the seasons, and mother nature puts on a spectacular show on the lake.

This one likes how the trees and lake look in the morning light as much as I do and he was the only one willing to leave the warmth of the cottage and join me for an up close view of the sun lifting the fog so the lake could mirror the golden hue of the trees.
