28/52 – The girls and I headed up to the cottage late last night for a girls weekend while the boys are playing soccer in Rochester, New York. We drove through one hell of a summer storm which followed us the entire way up. It took twice as long to get here as usual and there were times when I wondered if we should just turn back. Trying to sleep through the lighting and thunder the rest of the night wasn’t easy either. But it was all worth it for the claim after the storm this morning and the quiet and peace of the lake. Here’s to girls weekends with my best two.
