27/52 – There is a big rock about 40 feet off the end of the dock at our cottage. When the water level is high, like here, very little of it protrudes out of the water, but at other times it looks like the shell of a giant turtle. For the last five years, we have had a “swim to turtle rock club”. All the kids and their friends who visit are encouraged and cajoled into joining the “club”. Really, it’s a way of getting the kids into the water when it’s early summer and the water is still cold. But it’s fun to see them embrace the tradition and compete amongst themselves as to who will join the club first each summer. These monkeys were first this year.
